Trusted Agents for
Manufacturing

Prometheux turns what your engineers, planners and quality teams know into rules that run on MES, ERP, PLM, quality, maintenance and supplier data where it already lives. Leaders get faster answers on yield, uptime, cost and supply resilience, from the plant floor to products in the field, and every answer comes with the evidence behind it. No new data platform to fill, no risky migration.

Proven in production

What holds plants back

The Data Exists.
The Answers Don't.

Production, quality, maintenance, engineering and supply each run their own systems, and the knowledge that connects them sits with a few experts. Prometheux codifies that knowledge once and runs it across every system, for every team.

Plant data today
With Prometheux
Plant-floor and business data split across MES, ERP, PLM, quality and maintenance, so cross-functional questions take days
One model of machines, batches, parts, orders and suppliers, so every team asks the same question of the same data
AI pilots that impress in a demo but never reach the plant floor
Agents call deterministic rules over MCP and API, so the same question gets the same answer in production
Answers nobody can explain to a quality review, a customer or an auditor
Every result comes with its rules and source rows, replayable on request
Legacy systems and isolated warehouses, and modernising means copying plant data into yet another platform
MES, ERP, PLM, historian and quality data are processed in place, where they already live: nothing to copy or migrate
Expert knowledge of how lines, parts and suppliers connect retires with the people who hold it
That knowledge becomes readable rules your teams own, review and reuse
AI costs that grow with every question asked
Rules do the reasoning, so models are called only where language is needed

Where Manufacturing Teams
Start

Pick the area that costs your plant the most today. Each use case runs on the same rules and connections, so the next one starts further ahead.

Production & Quality

Fewer defects and faster root cause, using the data your MES and quality systems already hold.

01Root cause of quality failures
Which step, machine and input lot do failed batches share, and which explains the most failures?Data Lineage →
02Quality holds on rules
Which batches should be held because a check drifted out of spec? Runs on a schedule or when data changes, with results written back for the team to act on.Agentic Workflows →
03Defect patterns spotted early
A Python step flags inspection results outside their usual range; rules link each to the step and machine behind it.Neurosymbolic AI →
04OEE from connected data
Availability, performance and quality joined per machine and shift across MES, historian and quality data, read in place.Cross-Database Processing →
05Shift and line reporting
Output, scrap and failed batches per line, computed by the same rules every time and written back to your reports.In-Place Data Processing →

Maintenance & Assets

Less unplanned downtime by putting maintenance where the line depends on it most.

01Maintenance priorities by impact
Rank machines by how much of the line depends on them, with PageRank on the dependency graph.Graph Analytics without a Graph Database →
02Early signs in sensor data
Python steps spot drifts in historian data; rules join them to the asset, its maintenance history and open work orders.In-Place Data Processing →
03Alerts to the right owner
When an asset condition is met, the alert and the owners of everything that depends on the asset are written back into the maintenance data, and a Python step can also send it by email.Agentic Workflows →
04One record per asset
The same machine labelled differently across MES, maintenance and ERP, matched by rule with evidence.Entity Resolution →
05Maintenance questions in plain language
Engineers ask in their own words; an LLM step drafts the query and deterministic rules produce the answer.Natural Language to Query →

Product & Service

Close the loop from products in the field back to engineering and the plant that built them.

01Field failures traced to the plant
Which batches, lots, machines and suppliers sit behind a part that failed in service?Data Lineage →
02Field data back to engineering
Warranty and service records joined to design versions and BOMs, so engineering sees which revisions fail and why.Cross-Database Processing →
03Product cost through every BOM level
What does this assembly cost, summed through every level with current component prices?Recursion →
04Engineering change impact
Which BOMs, routings, open orders, stock and installed products does a proposed change touch, before approval?Context as Code →
05Specs and certificates checked
An LLM step drafts fields from specs and certificates (non-deterministic, reviewed); rules check them against requirements.Domain-Aware AI →

Supply & Planning

Fewer stockouts and late orders, with supply risk visible before it reaches the line.

01Demand, supply and finance aligned
One set of planning rules over demand, inventory, capacity and cost data, so sales, operations and finance work from the same numbers.Semantic Layer →
02Orders at risk
Which open orders are jeopardised when a machine, line or supplier fails, and which alternatives can take the work?Agentic Workflows →
03Material shortages before they bite
Which planned orders lack components, counted through every BOM level against current inventory?Recursion →
04Multi-tier supplier exposure
Which products depend on a supplier, directly or through lower tiers, and which have no alternative?Graph Traversal →
05Late shipments flagged early
Rules compare shipment and supplier delivery data with what the schedule needs, run on a schedule or when data changes.Agentic Workflows →
06Demand and inventory trends
Python steps forecast demand and lead times; rules turn them into stock and planning exceptions written back to the ERP.In-Place Data Processing →

Genealogy

Batch and Lot Genealogy at Any Depth

Which finished batches contain material from this suspect lot, through every intermediate lot and sub-assembly? A recursive walk, forwards for recall scope or backwards for cause, with every link cited.

BOM

BOM Roll-Ups and Where-Used

What does this assembly cost, summed through every BOM level, and which products use a part that just failed inspection? See recursion.

Maintenance

Failure Cascades Across the Line

If this machine goes down, which machines, lines and orders stop with it, directly or several steps downstream? Recursion over dependencies, the same way every run.

Root cause

Root Cause Across Systems

A failed batch traced through MES steps, the machine that ran them and the ERP lots that fed them, with the quality checks behind each step. See data lineage.

Architecture

One Model Across
Every Line

Typical industrial data platforms load plant data into their own foundation and add agents on top. Prometheux sits between your plant systems and the people, tools and agents that act on them, and runs the rules where the data already lives.

Analytics

Plant dashboards, graph and BI

Integrations

Back into the databases behind MES, ERP, PLM and maintenance

Layer by layer

Same Layers.
Better Built.

Map a typical industrial data platform to Prometheux and the difference is where the work happens: in place, in rules you own, with an answer every team can check.

Typical industrial data platform
Prometheux
Data: plant sources loaded into the platform's own data foundation
Data: sources read and written in place, across clouds and on-premises; no new store
Model: a structured model or twin that describes the plant

Analytics: ML models and dashboards over contextualised data
Analytics: deterministic rules, graph algorithms, SQL and Python steps, with lineage on each result
Questions: one-hop lookups and fixed-depth joins
Questions: recursion with aggregation: lot genealogy at any depth, BOM roll-ups, failure cascades, supplier tiers
Use cases: a module per function: quality, maintenance, planning
Use cases: one set of plant rules reused across production, quality, maintenance, engineering and supply
Agents: agents that investigate and propose
Agents: agents call deterministic rules over MCP and see how each answer was reached
Actions: workflows inside the vendor's platform
Actions: results written back to the databases behind MES, ERP, PLM and maintenance, on a schedule or when data changes
Deployment: the vendor's platform
Deployment: Prometheux cloud, your cloud, your own servers, or inside Snowflake and Databricks
Why manufacturing teams choose it

Plant Knowledge.
Owned and Explained.

What your engineers and planners know about how machines, steps, lots, parts and suppliers connect becomes rules that run on live plant data. Production, quality, maintenance, engineering and supply get the same answer, and so do the agents and apps built on top.

Owned, Not Vendor-Bound

Plant rules span lines, sites and systems and stay with you, in rules your engineers can read, review and version.

Deterministic and Explained

The same question gives the same answer, from a failed batch to a BOM roll-up, with the rules and source rows behind it, ready for a quality review or an audit.

Built for Plant Scale

Rules run as distributed, parallel jobs, with optional GPU acceleration, over years of batch and sensor history. See high-performance engine.

Portable by Design

Run in Prometheux cloud, your cloud, or on your own servers next to the plant. See on-premises.

What this means for you ⟶

Bring one use case

Codify plant knowledge once. Reuse it for quality, maintenance, engineering and supply. Give agents rules they can be trusted on.

How plants start

One Line.
Then the Next.

01

Connect in Place

Point Prometheux at the systems behind one use case: MES, ERP, PLM, quality or maintenance data for one line or site. The data is processed where it lives; nothing is copied.

02

Codify the Knowledge

Your engineers and planners, our forward deployed engineers and the AI assistant turn process knowledge, specs, BOMs and planning logic into readable rules in days, not months.

03

Run One Use Case

Root cause, lot genealogy, failure cascade, BOM roll-up or orders at risk, on live data, for engineers, planners and agents alike.

04

Expand Line by Line

Each new line, site or use case reuses the rules already written, so coverage grows without rebuilding the model for every tool.

FAQ

Questions,
Answered

Is this another data platform or digital twin we have to fill?

No. Prometheux reads your MES, ERP, PLM, quality and maintenance data where it already lives, across clouds and on-premises, and runs the rules there. The plant model is logical: there's nothing new to migrate or keep in sync.

We already have an MES, ERP, historian and BI. What does this add?

Keep them. Each one answers questions inside its own system. Prometheux adds the reasoning across them: following a failed batch through steps, machines and lots, a part through every BOM level, or an order back to the machines and suppliers it depends on, and writing results back to the tools your teams already use.

Our machines, parts and suppliers are named differently in every system. Does that block us?

No. You define the machine, part or supplier once and map each system's labels to it in rules, without changing the source databases. Matches can also be resolved by rule, with evidence. See entity resolution.

Can agents act on the plant?

Agents call deterministic rules over MCP or the API and get an answer with its derivation, with the same access rights as the user they act for. Holds, work orders and schedule changes go through your existing systems and approvals, with the evidence attached.

Can it run next to the plant?

Yes. Install it on your own servers with Docker or Kubernetes, in your private cloud, or inside Snowflake and Databricks, under your existing access controls. Prometheux is SOC 2 Type II certified.

What does it cost across our sites?

It depends on your data and use cases, so we measure it on yours rather than quote a generic figure. Most teams start with one line or use case, prove the value, then add use cases on the same rules and connections.
